Pocket Easel ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
1. Information Collection and Use
Pocket Easel is a standalone digital painting tool. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.
- No personal data collection: We do not collect, store, transmit or share any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, IP address or device ID). The app does not send your artworks or any other data to us. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may provide us with anonymous crash reports.
- Local storage: Your artworks, exported images and time-lapse videos are stored on your device. If your device's own backup is turned on (iCloud Backup on Apple devices, or Android backup to your Google account), your device may include the app's artworks in that backup. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
- Photos you choose: When you pick a photo, or drag one in from another app on iPad, the app receives only that photo. It uses the system photo picker and does not browse, read or upload anything else in your photo library. Reference photos are kept on your device, stored with the artwork they belong to. A painting you analyze with Master's Palette is not kept: the app reads its colors and discards it.
- Saving to your photo library: The app can save exported images and videos to your photo library. On iPhone and iPad it asks for permission to add photos. On Android 10 and later no permission is needed. On Android 8 and 9 it asks for storage permission, used only to save your exports.
- Feedback: If you use Send Feedback, your email app opens a message to us that includes the app version and your device model, so we can look into problems. You see the message before sending it, and we use it only to reply to you.
2. In-App Purchases
Pocket Easel offers an optional one-time purchase, Pocket Easel Pro. On iPhone and iPad it is processed by Apple's App Store. On Android it is processed by Google Play, and the app uses the Google Play Billing Library, which communicates with Google Play to complete and verify the purchase. All payments, billing and order histories are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment details.
3. Third-Party Services
The app does not include any third-party analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs. The only third-party component that communicates over the network is the Google Play Billing Library in the Android app, used only for purchases.
4. Children
Pocket Easel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
